Welcome Max!!

Congratulations to Michael and Christine Muass for the birth of their second child, Maximilian Joseph Muass!

Baby Hats

I love to knit and as several women in our parish are having babies I have been knitting baby hats. I knit the hat with white yarn and then make the brim adjustable with a piece of either pink or blue yarn. They turn out quite nicely and can be finish in only a few hours. After the babies are all born I will make some to donate to our locale Care Net. Thank you Mom for signing me up for knitting lessons when I was little!

Gardening

Today my younger sisters and I finished planting our garden. Preparing the garden for planting was much easier this year than in past years as we have a square foot garden that is built this year. (Last year we made the frames and poured the soil mixture into them) We planted cucumbers, Asian Lilies, daffodils, lettuce, raspberries, petunias, sunflowers, wildflower mix, and radishes. We also had some perennials left over from last year. The little girls, Gianna 5, and Catherine 7, really seemed to enjoy planting the little seeds. When the weather begins to warm up, I find what a pleasure it is to be out of doors in my garden!

The Hope Chest

The Hope Chest is a collection of wisdom that I have collected and still am collecting from my mother and other wonderful women. Women who inspire me and help me to become a better young woman and someday God willing a better wife and mother. I consider this wisdom my modern day dowry and hope that God will bless me with the ability to become an accomplished woman and housewife like Our Lady.
