I am going to try to get back to blogging. (now that school is almost over) All my extra time was being wasted on Facebook. (Facebook: (noun) The root of all evils) ;) Anyway.......
Square Foot Gardening!!! :)
I just replanted my garden this year. It is fairly worthless for food with the exception of a few raspberry bushes but my mom planted the veggies so I thought that mine could be the pretty one :). The square foot gardens produce beautifully because of the moisture that is retained and the rich soil.
Any way if anyone is interested in making a square garden themselves just comment and I will add the directions. :)

Gardening Disaster
My garden has proved to be a bit of a failure this year. We are beginning to think it is from the high levels of salt in the soil caused by our cats urinating and pooing :-( in the soil last year. Besides being completely gross it poses a problem as I will have to replant everything and maybe even replace the soil. :-( Basically the plants sprout and then get all chewed-up looking, wither, and die. I am slightly discouraged but I still hope to get a producing garden planted before late June.

Welcome Max!!
Congratulations to Michael and Christine Muass for the birth of their second child, Maximilian Joseph Muass!
Baby Hats
I love to knit and as several women in our parish are having babies I have been knitting baby hats. I knit the hat with white yarn and then make the brim adjustable with a piece of either pink or blue yarn. They turn out quite nicely and can be finish in only a few hours. After the babies are all born I will make some to donate to our locale Care Net. Thank you Mom for signing me up for knitting lessons when I was little!
